Here is a place to commemorate the imperfect, to revel in the glorious mundane and soak in all of life's ordinary miracles.
Here I set to catalogue our days and others' too. To create heirlooms of the love that grew right here, in the everyday. Here I am seeking to see the grace abounding in my life and yours, to hold it cupped in our hands and keep it there to hold and feel and know always.
If you live simple and feel deeply and are dying to remember and grasp even in some small way the glorious bits and scraps that make up your everyday life, then you are in good company. Welcome.
My style can be described as organic and honest and warm. I am an artist, a creative - I draw from emotions and setting and natural light. I am a documenter of life. I emphasize candid realism and seek to tell your story in a way that is meaningful. I want you to look back at what we created together and feel in your bones that yes, this is what your life looked and felt like. That we captured it in the way that the familiar scent of orange blossoms can bring you back to your childhood, or the taste of wild blueberries can bottle a whole summer. I believe the best way to document your life is to simply let it happen.
Light in the midst of darkness. Creamy, rich, honey tones. Brightness and hope and depth. Beauty in chaos. I seek to see the sunshine for all the shadows.
Real moments. Unposed beauty. The small and tender touches, the knowing looks. pure, authentic connections. I hope to capture the essence of your love and life.
Images that speak to me, to you. Raw. True. Glorious for the depth of honest human experience they communicate in moments both small and great.
The way we document our days informs our memories of our lives. Choosing to remember the real and rugged beauty is so dear to my heart. I have always been drawn to capture candid moments, but never has authentic memory-making been so important to me than when I lost much of who I used to be when I sunk deep into Postpartum Depression. Suddenly I couldn't feel who I was anymore, I couldn't feel the joy and hope and love that used to pervade my life. I decided to make a wall of square prints of all the photographs I had taken of our little family. It took me a month to finally place every image on the wall, I felt unworthy to even touch those tangible reminders of when things were different. But then a day came when I came to see those prints as evidence of the joy that pervaded our lives. The photos still made me feel guilty some days, but mostly they gave me pause to remember where I used to be. They held hope that I could return. Continuing to document our life held so much promise for me, and helped me to see how our life went on in spite of me. My children grew, the seasons changed, and life happened. I took photos of me with my girls in hopes that they would see one day how much they were truly, deeply loved in spite of all the struggle during that time. It's why I continue to take photos now. For me, for them, for those yet to come.

The advent of new life is one of the most beautiful stories to tell. It is an honor to hold space for you and document those sacred moments. I typically spend 5-6 hours at a birth, arriving in enough time to photograph the journey through labor, the joyful arrival, and the happy aftermath. At a birth, I am a silent participant, a fly on the wall. This is your moment; enjoy it with those you love, without worrying about whether you will remember the details.
The Birth Package is currently being offered for the special price of $1,200 and includes a custom flash drive with the edited, high-resolution digital images and short film. The number of images and length of film is dependent upon how long I am at the birth, but clients typically receive 300+ images and a film that is approximately 10 minutes in length set to music.
